Managed to get along to training this morning at Vic Park got there 2 mins before the start around 8:30 - 8:45 and left after the tacklings drills had to work:mad:

A couple things I noticed...

Sinclair looks like his lost the beef & was wearing a heart monitoring during one of the drills, so it looks like the coaching staff are looking at using Sinclair in the middle.

Wells & Simmo were together for 99% of the time which sounds good.

Perry looked good from what I saw of him, looks like his improved his fitness & strength and was pleased when he out marked Petrie down back & quickly gave of the kick which hit a target.

Grima looks fit but his disposal by foot wasn't to good, hopefully it's because they have just come back from the chrissie break.

I couldn't tell if Watt was bigger in the arms (was wearing a t'shirt) but he seemed bigger in the legs.

Watson looked like his put on abit of muscle in the arms but not much.

Crocker was very vocal out there during the drills.

In the tackling drills Laidley told Chad Jones to go in extra hard when tackling Shane Harvey.

Petrie & Thompson didn't do the tackling drills, Thompson was doing sprints from the goal square to about the centre square, Petrie was taking set shots from around the 40 - 50 metre line and missed his first few but once Bewick came over and was showing him how it should be done he seemed to kicking thru the ball and in between the sticks after that.

Moran looks like he may have a future in the afl, seems to move well for his size was suprised he wasn't that good in the tackling drills.

McKernan wasn't out there for long.

Urch only did laps & Colbert was a no show (thats expected)

And everyone looks like there fit especially Urch I like the look of him.

Can't think of anything else at the moment but if I do I'll let you guys know.

Thanks for that- nice report..

Good to hear Perry outmarked Petrie (Good for Perry anyway) -considering the size difference, getting off a nice kick is also good to hear.

The comment to Whippet sounds interesting.. lovely to hear about Wells/Simmo- maybe Wellsy was teaching Simmo to kick :D

Go Roos

Good report Morpheus any news on who looks like playing CHF.

From what I saw today Petrie would have to be the person he spent most of his time around that area plus Sav & Thommo were playing out from the goal square.

It was interesting in an interview with Daniel Wells on the radio a couple of weeks ago, he said that the assistant coaches were very vocal, which was 'something that didn't happen last year'. Crocker is obviously one of the more vocal ones!

Colbert was sick the other day wasn't he? Wasn't there another report that said he left training early due to illness? I hope that's not the reason he missed the session in morpheus' report.

Thanks for the report morpheus! :)
