Just wondering about Varcoe and if anyone has seen a lot of him. The only two games I have seen were for Centrals league team. What are his strengths and weaknesses and where would he play in an AFL team?

Yeah mate. I saw him play his first game for the Doggies- wasn't overly impressed too be honest.
If that was the Anzac day game, and I'm pretty sure it was, he is a lot better than that. He was caught holding the ball a couple of times that day, mainly due to a complete absence of talk from his team mates when he was running with the ball. Centrals in general were very, very poor that day so I wouldnt write him off because of that one. From what Ive heard around the club, he is lightning quick and has very good skills and has the physical attributes to end up as a wingman in the AFL, or maybe an onballer who can play a bit on a HFF or in a pocket.

Having played alot of footy with Travis i can tell you, that the anzac day game was probably the worst i had seen him play, then again you expect that, first league game team gets trounced.

However Travis is extremely quick and has a very nice accurate kick on him, sometimes though can make some poor decisions, generally good in this area though, good little goal sneak i would say for his early AFL games then definently a wingman/onballer.

Hopefully when he comes back from his foot injury he will be able to comeback and play up to his unlimited potential, we all know the Dogs could use it. I also hope that he can somehow slip to our first round pick.

he hasnt gone all that well in the Centrals Leauge Team yet, and is currently out with a foot injury, he was close to BOG in the under 17's GF last year.
Will be a superstar of the CDFC by the end of next year.
without a doubt the fastest player i have ever seen.

Hopefully he can slip to our pick which will probably be around the 12-16 mark.

Recruiters do take a lot from the U/18's and him missing could see him slip to late first rounder, hopefully he also gets hidden away in the reserves for the rest of the year.

IMO, he is exactly what we need. A midfielder with genuine pace is something we don't have in abundance.
