I never watched him play but either way its poor management not to give the poor guy even one game but keep him on the list that long.

He just never earned one.

I do agree though that he should never have been on the list for that long. It shouldn't take 5 years to work out that a player's a dud.

hello macca23. Its dangerous to label a player shyte and completely write them off. Many did with bock and there were a few saying give him 20-30 games to atleast see what he can do. I personally think that 50% of whether they make it or not, is whether the coach actually gives them a chance. Look where rutten or bock would be if they didnt get one. Rutten was close to getting the axe from those in the know. You have been right with smith and schuback simply cause they havent had a chance. And its good that we agree that its ludicrous and pretty unfair to smith really to keep him on the list for 5 yrs and not give him a game. Atleast he has showed the dedication to stay there, personally i would of tried my luck somewhere else. 5 yrs is a really long time really now i think about it, macca23 didnt even exist five yrs ago.
