If you're like me you will have one or two CDs or LPs in your collection that are your most precious and treasured above all others, due to their rarity, or as special examples of one artists work or life memories.

What are they?

Mine would be 6 CD set of ' Living In The 70s ' various compilations & ' Life Of Surprises ' best of collection by Prefab Sprout.

Good thread. :thumbsu:

My most treasured, I have a few:

The Smiths - The Smiths
The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
Viva Hate - Morrissey
World of Morrissey - Morrissey
Ringleader of the Tormentors - Morrissey
The Best of - Talking Heads
Talking With The Taxman About Poetry - Billy Bragg
Substance - Joy Division
The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground

and...

The Ultimate 90's Collection - Various Artists

Got a heap of quality and hard as hell to find bootlegs, but probably my fav would be my copy of Dave Matthews Band live at the Palais Theatre 20/03/05 which was their first ever gig in Australia. I was at that show (i didnt record it though. FWIW DMB openly encourage bootlegging at their shows) and it was easily one of the best experiences of my life and to have it on cd is amazing.

Original vinyl (1971). Inside sleeve signed by Marc Bolan. (actually signed his real name, Marc Feld)

Had the entire Marc Bolan original vinyl catalogue (singles & LPs) in the late 80's, from the early hippy/mod solo stuff, recordings with Johns Children, the glam rock stuff with Tyrannosaurus Rex & T Rex.

From memory, the only one I didn't add to the collection was David Bowie's "The Prettiest Star" from 1970 - which Bolan played on (FYI - Bowie was a regular supporting act to Bolan around 70-71)

Unfortunately - had 'em all knicked by a junky/burgular.

Only piece of the collection left, is/was Electric Warrior. Definietly the most prized album - when you consider the time spent putting the collection together.
