How unlucky are we that TC didn't play again after our flag.
He would be 31 now and still our best defender.
None of gibbo, Stats, Lisle or Shoe will ever fill Croad's shoes.
If we don't draft or trade for a big backman we will not win a flag.
Then again we have been saying this for three years.

While I think this is a stupid thread and I don't really like to think of myself as the kind who looks backs and wishes, there is a much bigger difference between Gibson and Croad.

In basic terms, the size of Croad's upper legs, and the power he had in them, was ENORMOUS. You would almost never see him moved off his line in a wrestle with a power forward, because his core strength was so big. Gibson, basically, isn't as strong and while he is only 1cm smaller, doesn't have the frame. However, he is far more competent coming out of defence, and is a much better spoiler of the ball.
