Weather or not that is true, Darky, he's still rebutted Mags' arugument.

HAHAHA... ah that's priceless.

I'm sorry - I don't recall mentioning anything about depth in my comment?

Oh boo hoo, the dumb shit got suspended.

Someone pass the Kleenex..

Somehow I'm not seeing the link between my comments and the depth of the Crows, or Essendon for that matter... in case you've forgotten, you actually set this thread up to discuss Matthew Lloyd's suspension.

That sort of rebuttal doesn't have much conviction if you haven't seen any of them play. As far as I know Essendon's reserves matches are not televised in Adelaide.

They may very well be decent players (never said they weren't), but who is Easty to tell us how good they are when he is not in a position to have seen most of them play?

Still wouldn't have a clue about the rest of them! (Bolton, Hille, Bullen, Bannister, Hunt, Davies, Richards, and possibly McVeigh). That the names probably came straight out of a book IN ITSELF means he can't know too much.

That's probably true. However, this whole thing started when Mags said;

Least we have a future of younger players to come, unlike essendon who have nothing after Long and all that are gone!

So what would he know too?

You are unreal Darky, an absolute corker of an observation

I'm trying to place Matty Lloyd kicking a bag at the SCG in 1999 but no, it was definitely at the MCG that we took us apart that day.

In the return engagement at the SCG you guys won a tight and very exciting encounter by 18 points.

The star that night was Boris, he snapped three goals from absolutely impossible angles deep in the pockets to absolutely break the Swannies heart.

In 1998 the Bombers didn't play at the SCG

And in 1997 the Swans won by a point after being down by 23 in time-on in the last. Mark Bayes had a purple patch in the dying seconds and thsi time it was the Bombers who were heart broken.

Nup - Lloyd has yet to play a decent game at the SCG, although I still feel sorry that he ruptured his spleen in the 96PF - who knows how he would have gone in that one ?

cheers

BSA, I was at that game, in fact it was only my 2nd AFL match ever! Still have it on tape too, what a cracker of a game.

IIRC, Lloyd has always been well-held at the SCG, whether it was Dunkley, Schauble, whoever. I think the MCG just gives him more space to lead into with his good pace.. The SCG is too small for his style, Dunkley would beat him most times in a strength type battle.

The one I'm worried about is Mercuri, the bastard always seems to have a good time at our expense.

I would accept the 1 week , if the tribunal were consistent. But they give libba who has a record ,5 weeks for a supposed king hit and give lloydy with no past record 1 week for that ! If Lloydy got 1 for that then libba should have got 15 !

You should be thankful he only got 1 week, it was a pretty gutless hit. Justin Murphy got a week for a punch that grazed Ben Cousins' chin. What Lloyd did was way worse.

Nah they aren't actually.

FACT - you don't know shit about Collingwood!

Are these the same brand of kids we have been hearing about since 1990? And did **** all in the past 10 years? Essendon have an advantage as at least their youngsters have been around at premiership teams.
