Does anybody know much about this guy? Heard he either has or might sign with the bays for this year....All i know he is a midfielder?, played in the WAFL last year, is he any good?

He's been at East Perth since '98 and has played 114 games. Featured in the 3 premiership teams 2000-02.

Has been a great player for us, and is capable of the odd spectacular mark.

Can't think what else to say except we'll miss him if he does go.

Can anyone confirm him signing with Glenelg??

The more I think about it the more I'll miss seeing him play.

He took the best mark I've seen in the WAFL in recent times a couple of years back (thankfully the ABC cameras were there that day). It featured heavily during the Sandover broadcast later that season.

And there was that game against Subi where with 2 mins to go they kicked a goal to go 10 points clear and seemingly had it won. The goal kicker, bloody Todd Ridley, was celebrating like the bastard he is and the fans were not happy. But EP kicked two goals in those last two minutes to snatch victory. It was Troy Butcher who kicked the last goal that day - real desperation stuff on the run.

Ahh but that was sweeeeet.

I've just read he's definately relocating to SA for work so he'll turn up somewhere if not Glenelg. He's still under contract at EP for another year so they'll have to hammer out a deal.

Sounds good for us, if we can buy out the contract then royaldave..thanks for the info, don't stuff this up Glenelg, buy out the contract, he sounds like quality.

this guy is a great player and you probably have about 3 years of good footy with him. Is a good mix of hardness and smartness you's guys will love the way he plays. One of the hardest guys to match up on for an opposition coach.

Hell...you've wrapped up Butcher a fair bit !!
He's OK and a league player over here but not star status.

Seems to be able to run all day.
I noticed he was a bit injury prone over the past season or so as well.

Flanker/wingman.....heard somewhere else he also can play CHB on versatile forwards and does a very good job.

he can play anywhere your right....
but he does enjoy playing through the middle.......just look at some stats on the wafl site from mid last year
