When you look a at it clinically and compare Tucks all-round game to that of Connors, Cotchin etc you would have to say that Tucky (along with Hyde) would be hard pressed to make RFC's top 22.

No one, unless Cotchin or Coughlan are 100%. Can't possibly split these blokes up after they've produced good footy 2 weeks in a row. Morton provides tremendous forward line pressure that results in more goals than Pettifer kicks a game - PLUS he kicks goals.

I agree, leave them be...somehow I don't think they will though.

I agree, Morton is harder at it, more naturally gifted and a Team player. I'm sick of 'Pettrified's' insipid team efforts week-in and week-out.

Yep, true, from yesterdays performance he doesn't deserve to even be in the Coburg seniors, he is so soft, doesn't chase, and can't kick the goals he should, GOOD RIDENCE!

Mate, we didn't win the game...and one player who made some crucial turnovers by foot was Tucky...and uncharacteristically - Newy. Connors is just as hard as Tuck but a lot smarter and more skillful and he, along with Cotchin will be knocking the door down in a couple of weeks.

when it gets down to games against the top flight, errors and indesicions by unskilled players hurt you twofold. Yeah he did a good job on Griffin. But yeah when the heat was on, Griffin came to the fore. Good players find a way to beat the tag at times when something is required. Good taggers stop them from doing that. dudes like Rayzorwire etc, pat Tuck on the back, for the job he did. yeah, ok, he did do a job, but he didnt stop Griffin when he needed to be stopped. i.e when they made their push.

Not saying that Tuck hasnt got a role in this side. Just saying that when Tuck's role is one of filling in gaps when its called for, i.e bench player or firnge player, we will be able to move into a higher level of competition. ;)

Im not saying they are Banz.

Bowden is competing for a spot back in the side(at anyones expense) and I think their is room for someone of his skill at Tucks expense. There are other guys currently in the side who could probably fufill Tucks tagging role.

As I said in an earlier post the original thread was made in a moment of sheer frustration. Combination of Tucks turnover and piss weak umpiring.

However I understand how you read it.

So fair call..

I agree morton in ahead of petts atm , but i think morton layed 0 tackles ?
 
Tuck is the first player picked every week. Only player to play every game since Wallace arrived. No-one matches his hardness and durability. Did a great job again against the Dogs.

Sure he makes a few mistakes with his decision-making and kicking accuracy but without him we would be stuffed.
 
kane johnsons been released from his tagging duties from the look of this and now tuck is tagging, i dont c why he should. great tackler and defensive pressure.
