Ladies and gents finally we have it a great rivalry reborn. After years where our rivalry was just stuck in 2nd gear on Sunday it is really going to explode and the world will know why we have the greatest rivalry in football. Both teams go into this match with something at stake. For us (Carlton) if we win we might be able to make the eight, for you guys (Collingwood) a top 4 spot is up for grabs. May a great sporting rivalry be reborn, bring on Sunday and good luck to you guys as well.

What's this, a mature Carlton supporter posting on the Collingwood board?

Every game of Collingwood vs. Carlton there's a massive media hype, and I'd say this will be no different as the week continues, especially given that Carlton are really beginning to prove themselves as opposed to recent years.

This game's definitely going to be an exciting one to watch. Both teams are capable of winning - but hopefully the pies can settle the score ;)

And good to see an equally mature Pies supporter, making an intelligent statement, not shooting Carlton down.

Sunday is going to be awesome - I can feel a stomach-turning, nail-biting finish coming on. With one or two spotfires across the day ('specially if big Fev decides to run through the huddle again :)

Same to you, except for the good luck part. :thumbsu:

This game will be a good one, and Carlton are a dangerous side. If we have an off day then it might be round four all over again, but with all the Buckley hype we should come out all guns blazing. However I am predicting a close contest, and not a Collingwood blow out as hinted by a few posters.

believe it or not most collingwood posters on here are quite mature
like everyone there are the exceptions and sometimes we read it and shake our head

i dont hate carlton supporters, but i hate carlton supporters who try and shoot down collingwood and what we have been doing/aiming for etc! unfortunately there are quite a few carlton idiots out there who also happen to be the most frequent posters, so for god sake son, post and try and up the quality of posting from carlton supporters!

i would wish carlton good luck, but i dont want carlton to receive any luck on sunday, will be a good game and first time in a LONG time both teams have been in some sort of form coming into this match, as carlton have been quite bad lately and collingwood were equally bad just before that!

Lets cut the lovey dovey stuff! you hate us we hate you EAD

Yes hate and respect are what fuel any great rivalry's, and both teams have over 100 years of history and passion. So lets all get to the G on Sunday and make it a crowd over 95K. What a game it's going to be one for the history books I hope.

i dont respect carlton, nor do i think they are a great tribe, sorry mate, i just think carlton are a bunch of filth cheats.

Hate is a strong word that I don't use in normal life but in footy terms I use it when describing my feelings for Carlton. I can't explain it but even as a primary school kid in the 80's we had to be seperated from the Carlton kids leading up to the big finals games, other teams I had no problem with, just Carlton......I couldn't even touch any blue memorabilia, its like one of those arachnophobes that can't touch a picture of a spider.... hey have been so crap of late that my passion faded a bit, but after round 4 and all their crowing...........Arrrrgh I hope we win this week!
