Been playing this a fair bit since launch. Anyone else yet?

I wasn't sure how the formula would translate from Two Point Hospital or if it would just be a change of paint but there are enough differences while keeping it mostly the same. I'm finding some levels more challenging than anything in Two Point Hospital.

So far my beefs are I'm less invested in learning grades outside of the minimum requirements to pass a level. Where as in Hospital I was a little more invested in getting each patient from diagnosis to cure. I'm also less enthusiastic about how each level is mostly dedicated to a particular curriculum. In TP Hospital as new levels and facilities were unlocked you'd still have to build on previous learnings and conditions. Some of the star conditions are rough though. Like in the Cheeseball sports level getting 75% average hygiene is tough during the year despite heaps of showers and sanitising stations. I can only tick that one off after the school year is done and the students no longer have classes.

What I do like though is the down time between school years where you aren't timed and can use it to build and expand and stuff.

I have been playing it on PC through Game Pass and I bought it on PS5 so I can play it regardless of where I am at home. It's definitely far more intuitive with mouse and KB. It's certainly not unplayable by any stretch with controller but sometimes it can be clunky trying to flick back and forth between menus and screens. Once I've started to build up my campus a bit the frame rate can also tank a bit on PS5. Hitting those damned book worms to me feels a bit trickier with a controller too.

I don't know if I just like TP Hospital more because Theme Hospital was one of my favourite games, but TP Campus just doesn't quite hit me the same way. Still pretty decent though.

Lost hours in 2PH, just focused on getting the 3 stars and moving on. Meaning to dive back into it, but remember it getting bloody tedious towards the latter hospitals. Will have to look at some reviews on this but am super intrigued.

Big fan of TPH and pre-ordered this but haven't really found much motivation for it after doing the first few levels. Had been hitting TPH pretty hard in the weeks prior to it being released so maybe just burnt out a bit but I do think it lacks some of the charm of TPH.

I have to say that the UI is f-----g awful and is one of my major causes of frustration. TPH's UI was bad enough at times but Campus has taken it to a new level... If the developers can make some positive changes to that it would solve a whole bunch of problems within the game and make it a much more streamlined and enjoyable experience.

Have been enjoying this for the past few weeks. A few quality of life improvements from Hospital (especially the staff and room scheduling) and it's quite relaxing as you can completely control the pace and will never really get overwhelmed. Also enjoy the fact the outdoor parts of the campus are just as important as the inside rooms.

The humour on Two Point radio is absolutely brilliant this time around too. My favourite part is probably the constant updates on the guy who falls into the gibbon enclosure.

On the downside I miss some of the more creative parts of Hospital, like making epic reception desk areas or creating the canteens / cafeterias.

"Doctor, please return to the hospital."
