Zantuck cleared
August 13, 2002
RICHMOND defender Ty Zantuck has been cleared of engaging in rough play against Fremantle's James Walker by the AFL Tribunal.
Zantuck pleaded not guilty to the charge, arguing he accidentally ran into Walker once he realised he couldn't get the ball in Saturday's game at the MCG.
He said he kept his arm tucked in and tried to turn his body to reduce the level of impact.
Tribunal chairman Brian Collis said Zantuck deserves the benefit of the doubt and has cleared him to play in Friday night's game against Hawthorn.
