I was reading some old threads today (trying to look busy at work but not busy at all) and there are some pearlers out there that made me laugh.

King is a dud get rid of him just an angry little man.........
Nahas .. is too small and will never have an impact in a match.
Reiwoldt ... why did Richmond waste pick 13 on him, pathetic decision.
Rance ... has no idea what he is doing and cant even kick ...
Vickery ... has no idea, runs around like he is lost and only got recruited because of his dad.

Hope the next batch of guys we have doubts about in Post, Astbury & Griffiths continue the trend.

We might have a half decent team by the end of next season.

There are always a few. I stuck by Tambling right up until we traded him. Wrote off Nahas and to a lesser extent King. But I have always said Rance and Vickry would make the grade.

I think the guy who divides most people now is Edwards. I rate him highly but i cant through a game thread without someone slagging him and another person sticking up for him.

I still stand by my criticism of Vickery .... IMHO , up until this year he had shown bugger all . And on the back of that pre season game that Wally started the now infamous thread , he was completely diabolical .

Just very happy to be proven wrong .

Still .... one swallow does not make a summer .

We as Richmond supporters routinely wrap blokes up on one good season then they never back it up .

The 3 big improvers this year for mine were 3 of the most maligned . TV . Nahas and Rance . Fantastic for the club that you will have to raffle the most improved player trophy between those guys .

...But the fact is , pointless if all 3 of them do not go on with it next year and take further steps in their develpments and continue to improve . Turn this platform they have laid into 8-10 year careers and consistent finals campaigners and not be filed under "Kane Pettifer/Justin Pickering" in the annals of RFC shytness

I thought he showed plenty before this year - good skills for 200cm player, good agility and composure in traffic, smart football brain. Wasn't too hard to see he had talent IMO. Now just starting to put it together and would've thought it wasn't to be expected so early anyways.

I think most saw these kinky skills that would have made him a mad forward pocket player, but the problem was that he was 200cm tall and hadn't taken a mark over head in eighteen months

I was far from having written him off, but I was certainly in the category of posters pleading for him to just "show us something" which would remotely suggest he might be a promising tall
