The size of his ticka/ committment has always been of concern . He does have the ability but there are plenty of times he has given arsed efforts . If he is committed and can make Thursday night the base rather than the ceiling he'll be a good player who should be RFC number 1 ruckman by 2015 .

I thought McGuane was a better ruckman according to you in the pre round 1 game Vickery thread?

Little bit of useless trivia. As a teen recovering from his knee reco he went to Cambodia with his old man and after watching the Cats smash Port in the GF he went and got a Chinese tattoo on his arm that translates into "Live Free"
Are these events related? Or are you just stating them in chronological order?

nice one bazzar.

He is a tough ombre vickery. Lets hope he has a good run with injury and plays to his potential

He also has "Or Die Hard" tatooed on the other arm. Huge Bruce Willis fan apparently.

Depends what you view as being mobile. Hes not very fast (nearing on being slow) and he hasn't any endurance.
He can turn players inside-out, and i reckon thats about as mobile as he gets.

I suppose what I mean is he is not the Plugger monster type who can just camp in the square and out muscle his opponent. His much better when his moving round

how good was it when he had eyes for the ball and crashed the pack?

i think it was during the NAB cup where he raged hard and started fighting the north player where i sort of realised he was a changed man.
I've always had the feeling that he could become that guy that opposition players are wary of. Reckon he doesn't mind hurting blokes. One if the things I loved about Greg Stafford.

That doesn't prove someone's courage IMO , it your head over the ball or running with the flight is courage . When talking courage I think of players like Hayes , Bolton or Jono Brown not blokes who wish to push and shove at the nearest opportunity with the safety of knowing others won't belt them , ala Connors .
Vickery didn't do any amazingly couragous acts on Thursday night , IMO , he upped the ante a little on his attack on the ball which was pleasing to see and will hopefully give him the confidence to continue to improve in that area .

I thought his fly that killed Robinson was a pretty courageous eyes on the ball, back with the flight contest.

I think he definitely brings some mongrel to the team but lets see him play some consistent footy before we blow too much smoke up his arse.

Ha ha, TV was good, but lets us give him the chance to back it up a few times more before the kudos is released.

Not saying TV cannot back it up, just he deserves the chance to earn real respect not a bubble fad target!!

One thing I do like is his burst off a lead. This is a strength he can utilise and when he gets up in the air to mark he is far more imposing and difficult to negate

this

could never imagine him doing something like that until this season

he's got good accuracy with set shots and if he were more selfish he would've kicked 4 on thursday. he's a big unit, a few years of gym and eating and we'll be laughing at the fact that we ever even talked about getting travis cloak.

I reckon young Vicks played a blinder after such an interrupted season in 2012
He is quite mobile for a big man and I rate him neck to neck with Kreuzer at the minute.
In fact his career stats have been quite impressive after 55 matches at the tender age of 22.
Kruezer is ahead on overall disposals and hit outs, but most importantly Vicks has pounded him on the scoreboard, averaging one goal per game to Kruezer's 0.6.
Let us hope he stays on the park and gives us another marking option up forward!

Have never doubted Vickery's ability , I seen enough of him at TAC level to see what he is capable of when fully committed , nice troll attempt .

Troll??

You were rubbishing him before the game the other day. Have no interest in being a internet troll but just keeping you accountable to your ridiculous comments.

Supporters like you who have no comprehension that a big man takes time and that a couple of shoulder reco's might be a reason for slow progress are extremely frustrating.
