Worked for the crows then us. Hope the Blues aren't that interested
They're throwing 800k at Hayward.
Unless they magically can pull another 800k out of their paperbags....i mean salary cap that's not happening.

I would think Stengle would be our first priority if available and Hayward 2ndThey're throwing 800k at Hayward.

Or that Stengle is not really on the market and is staying at the CatsIf you're offering Hayward that as reported he's your first and only option.

I think we'd have to move some other role players like Kennedy and Young on and maybe Docherty retiring too to be any shot at scooping up both. Don't see it happening but who knows at this stage.Hmmm makes you wonder, could be that, could also be that Haward's agent is trying to bump his client's price when leaking to media and Blues think they can get both?
In all honesty I Zurhaar would have to improve his form a ton to warrant that.North wont be getting band 1 for Zurhaar.
Will get an end of first round pick.

Yeah I know. I can't see any team offering Zurhaar that kind of money or even close to be honest. His stock has gone backwards considerable this season and only in the last two weeks has he looked half decent. Band 2 is now a contract in the 650k a season range with the afl average salary 440K last season and jumping up even more this year. Not really. It goes on contract size.
Definitely the agent leaking to bump up the price. But Stengle is better than Hayward and fits nicely with what the Blues need.Hmmm makes you wonder, could be that, could also be that Haward's agent is trying to bump his client's price when leaking to media and Blues think they can get both?
Hayward’s already a no to Carlton I hear.I would think Stengle would be our first priority if available and Hayward 2nd

He will be offered 750k a year for 5 years by either Sydney or Essendon.
Clubs are happy to spend overs on free agentsTalk of 800k to 850k for Hayward. I would have reservations offering Zurhaar a huge deal but he is a much better prospect than Hayward.

Keep their draft capital and bring in a good player
Bit different as even if you match Stengle can still walk as he’s unrestrictedWell in terms of Stengle the Cats can match $$$, it's if he wants to walk or not.
I'd imagine its a similar situation with Zurhaar and Norf

You likened it to zurhaarIsn't that what i said? haha
$$$ can be matched but its all up to whether he wants to stay or not?
You likened it to zurhaar
Which is different as he’s a restricted fee agent
Stengle is unrestricted
It’s pretty differentI mean, ok sure its pedantic but sure he's not the same lol
On recent output, surely North would take any remotely decent compo for Zurhaar and run? It’s pretty different
One can force a trade
The other can’t in this instance and just have to take whatever compo given
He’s been decent considering the lack of forward half footy tbhOn recent output, surely North would take any remotely decent compo for Zurhaar and run?
OK but in all seriousness, one of those players has played in 35 wins including a premiership since the start of 2022, the other has played in 4 wins. It’s pretty different

The assumption that Stengle would want to stay if he's not losing money is a pretty good one.
