there ya go boys play here !!

What's wrong with you, people posting about the 18s in the rumours thread??? The under 18's are apart of the TSL so posts about them in the thread are relevant. Anyway, now that the this thread is made it may as well go to some use.

Anyone know what's happening with the 18s finals? Lauderdale are playing North hobart in the qualifying final, where would this game be played at?

I see the result in the Hobart v Launceston game has been overturned by the league. Apparently Hobart played over age players.

Hobart wouldn't be the first team to player overage players this year. Burnie have overage players and Clarence have played at least one as well. Feel for the Lauderdale boys that have been knocked out of the top four because of this. They now play Burnie in the elimination final. Although they finished ahead of Burnie they still have to travel to Devonport to play the game.

Each team was allowed to play two 19 yr olds each game on application to AFLTAS. I have heard that Hobart played 5-6 over age players!!! Why would they bother doing this???
Causes a massive shake up to the ladder. Whoever plays Burnie will be up for a tough battle. They will get back several senior players into their team for finals.

Lauderdale must be very disappointed going from the double chance to now playing Burnie in an Elimination final in Devonport. With a changed game plan and some positional changes paying off in the last couple weeks for Lauderdale, it should be a tough game for both sides.

Put simply it is bollocks that we played 6 overage players and, all the players we played were permitted except for one (whom had previously played with a clearance), apparently there is some kind of matchday permits for these overage players and that there was an administrative error which resulted in one player not having a permit.

Munts, you are correct in saying about matchday permits...all permits must be applied for each week. Just becuase a player is allowed one week, you must get a permit for the next and so on. What a balls up by the Tigers admin! How many players from Hobarts team on Sat were not U18? I heard 5-6, How many was it Munts?
Lauderdale are the big losers in all this, they must be spewing.

i was at the game myself on saturday and i saw young Jack Talyor-evans towel up a so called draft prospect in charlie riewoldt

Scook, did Dudgeon play in the guts? Have seen a few games this year and he's been playing on the half back flank (has played well there I might add, but I still reckon he's an onballer) Seems a like a weird move to me because he's been a very good junior playing in the guts for years.

the burnie boys have got a quality side in again. lest time these two teams met burnie snuck over the line. dudgeon was b.o.g off half back. the devonport means nothing for the burnie boys they played there two weeks ago and got beat so i think this will be a very close game

didn't get to see this game unfortunately. i travelled up and watched burnie-lauderdale few weeks ago and taylor-evans played pretty well this day. however i don't think he was the best defender on the day with burnie full back Caleb Alford playing on mariners full forward Todd Kelly and not giving him an inch of space or even letting him take a mark

North Hobart are in trouble.

Big job ahead of them no doubt. Can beat anyone on their day though.

What is your opinion on Clarence's form Chow? let a golden opportunity slip on the weekend with the loss to a very smooth North Launy at home.
Confidence looked to take a big hit, were never really in the game.

Not much talk about the other Southern club, North Hobart. Was talking to a father of one of their players, said they can go close if they can play 4 quarters, but will be tough for them. Said they have some good upcoming players, but missing key players in Reily, Salter, Curtin, Tilbury and someone else will hurt them.
You blokes seem to know the 18s comp, what do you guys think?

Why aren't these guys playing seniors then Wiz? Surely they would be better off getting a crack in the ones then some of the other names i have seen running around this year?

Heard a whisper that 15 Laudedale Under 18 players have stated to the board they will not be playing there next year if the current coach is re-appointed. Not happy with his game plan and his attitude towards players who have an 'off' day. Watch this space.

Must be big heads galore down there to go straight to the board. Any big names amongst that lot Benny?
