I see the result in the Hobart v Launceston game has been overturned by the league. Apparently Hobart played over age players.
Hobart wouldn't be the first team to player overage players this year. Burnie have overage players and Clarence have played at least one as well. Feel for the Lauderdale boys that have been knocked out of the top four because of this. They now play Burnie in the elimination final. Although they finished ahead of Burnie they still have to travel to Devonport to play the game.
Each team was allowed to play two 19 yr olds each game on application to AFLTAS. I have heard that Hobart played 5-6 over age players!!! Why would they bother doing this???
Causes a massive shake up to the ladder. Whoever plays Burnie will be up for a tough battle. They will get back several senior players into their team for finals.
Lauderdale must have done well last week to stop Rainbird and Riewoldt
Put simply it is bollocks that we played 6 overage players and, all the players we played were permitted except for one (whom had previously played with a clearance), apparently there is some kind of matchday permits for these overage players and that there was an administrative error which resulted in one player not having a permit. Each team was allowed to play two 19 yr olds each game on application to AFLTAS. I heard that Hobart played over 12 overage players and one was 29. What an outrage.

North Hobart are in trouble.
Not much talk about the other Southern club, North Hobart. Was talking to a father of one of their players, said they can go close if they can play 4 quarters, but will be tough for them. Said they have some good upcoming players, but missing key players in Reily, Salter, Curtin, Tilbury and someone else will hurt them.
You blokes seem to know the 18s comp, what do you guys think?
Heard a whisper that 15 Laudedale Under 18 players have stated to the board they will not be playing there next year if the current coach is re-appointed. Not happy with his game plan and his attitude towards players who have an 'off' day. Watch this space.
