Should umpires be accountable for decisions they DON'T give as well as the ones they do? I'm referring to the recent Aust v NZ one-dayer. The ump turned down an appeal for LBW (Gillespie was the batsman, I think) that was about as plum as I have ever seen. I reckon he should be called upon by the ICC (or whoever is in charge of umpiring standards) to explain how it could NOT be out. (and as for the Jacques Kallis one earlier this summer...)

What I find most amazing is that if a decision goes for an Aus batsman, the commentators go on and on about it.

However, if something goes for an opposition batsman, then they just forget it.

Case in point: S Waugh vs South Africa (they never shut up about how he had a life, even thuogh replays were not conclusive), vs Craig McMillan (whom most people wont remember because it wasnt mentioned.

Case 2: Why do you mention the Gillespie incident, the McMillan decision was just as bad.
