I am using Mozilla Firefox. I recently started getting unasked for webpages, including on line bingo, dating sites, and worse. I think I know what started them, and I have deleted that program, run full spyware, malware and even blocked cookies from those sites. Nothing I do seems to get rid of these things. Does anyone here have any ideas?

I use CA Internet Security Suite for Spyware and Anti Virus, and Windows Defender checked for the Malware.

The fix is simple.

Format and reinstall. Seriously - It's the best option. That shit lingers and is damn hard to piss off.

Simple Yes, but who in this day and age has the time to spend all day reinstalling everything on their computer? I had considered this, but I am really glad I was pointed to Spybot S&D.:thumbsu:

I had this same problem and I tried AVG, Norton, Spybot, Avira and ad aware and nothing could get rid of the Trojan I had. The bastard was giving the dreaded BSOD every time I logged in. Have spent the last few days formatting and reinstalling. While doing that, I managed to find my external HDD and guess what, my backup from earlier in the year was on it!! Could have saved me a couple of days.

Lol.

It does raise a good point though. I have an Acer with Acer backup software. It's brilliant. Set the machine up how I want it with all the software I need and back it up to a few DVD's. When it's time to start again the install is a doddle and there is no time spent getting it back the way I want it.
