Hungry beast has put up an unauthorized interview with 'Tom' an Australian soldier (special forces I think) in Afganistan. Definitely worth listening to. There has been almost no media access to ADF soldiers, so this is definitely worth listening to.

He doesn't think much of the Dutch, says the Taliban go for them because they're easy marks, and that they have caused many unnecessary civilian deaths.

any chance it is the guy that released a book about 2 years back? Cant remember his name, just an interview on RRR.

This guy interviewed had little clue about the geo-politics and just took a very narrow pov. Rory Stewart is worth looking at for another viewpoint.

the guy was in Afghanistan, and he was special forces.

Former, by a few years, so that needs to be emphasised. Interview clearly implied this was a current ADF soldier.

The fact the Dutch are poor soldiers is old news. The areas the SAS made ground in Afghanistan before getting shipped of to Iraq was lost by the Dutch.

The Dutch have a union within their army.. They can go to their union rep and question orders of their superiors.
