Unless the kids have been picked up by cannons etc..or they are very good players they are just there to put money into the coffers to pay for some travellers who arent interested in whatever club their playing for just their pockets, and the loyal kid who has played there from under 10`s is left behind to dream of what might have been.

Please explain what your above post is on about ?. Money to whose coffers, travellers etc. Did someone from your club get cut in the 1st cut before Saturdays praccy match. U17's EDFL side is about giving players not selected in Cannons or Western Jets a taste of Rep footy & a 2nd chance at at getting picked up by these two clubs for there future u18 squads. Can name quiet a few EDFL players that have been picked up after these games for trials with Cannons & Jets. I hope the EDFL adopt U17's instead of the joke last year playing 8-9 19 year olds in game against WRFL at Cragieburn last year. Cannons didn't even bother to watch game as it was pointless. Result was a flogging because WRFL went with giving there league 17 year olds a 2nd chance. If it is to show case the EDFL, play some of the stronger leagues with u18's not Western & Riddell leagues that EDFL have beaten well over the last 5 years. Play Eastern or Yarra Football Leagues

Taylors Lakes will be a threat this year. picked up a lot of quality top age players.

I don't think Keilor will make it that far. Abers seniors are out of the finals so they will get Glassford back, not sure if there are any others, and that will be a big in. Greenvale are still the best side in the comp on pure talent and usually, not always, the team with the most guns wins. They have proved it a couple of times this year that they can step up when challanged. To beat them would need a very disciplined effort for 4 quarters and thats a tough thing to do but finals are a different game and if Greemvale go in a bit cocky, who knows....
Douttas and Keilor will also get a few back and both have been consistent through out the year, my pick DS and GV grand final.

Any thoughts on this weekends GF. It would seem that Greenvale go in as favorites but I know they would rather have been playing Keilor
