Any players that we should be watching? .. more so Jackson should be watching

I'll put one up. A kid I play cricket with called Adam Kennedy.
A few years ago I would have thought no way as he looked like being Nahas size.
He's grown and has that frame now that looks like he'll be a big strong mid. He's good inside and out, kicks well. He captains the Jets and has played well in all Vic metro games thus far off half back.
He has a wiry hard Tuck like frame and runs very well.Obviously we need talls but I'd be happy if we got him as a later pick.

what would u rate him in a draft ? Pick wise?

I'd honestly really only be guessing bird but there would definately be those here that would have some idea.

This current under 18 championsip and any finals always seems to have a large say in the order of things and at a guess I would say he's gone from around a 60-80 to 40-60 ATM.
I could of course be completely wrong!

I'm going to the Div.1 final round tomorrow night. I'll report back any players of interest.

some names to look out for...

draftables this year:

Vic Metro.

Liam Sumner - pacey outside wingman with goodskills

Hoskin-Elliot - clever outside mid with time and good skills

Talia - brother of the adelaide kid, Tall defender at 193cm. Better at negating than the rebound side of things. We should like this one.

Kennedy - mentioned above.

Crozier - a bit like Harper last year, clever HFF mid Mercurial type. Can do the impossible regularly. Massive leap and good skills. A goal kicker. think Dale Thomas.

Patton - Jonothan Brown type 197cm KPF. will go in the top 3. Talia is the only player this year to stop him from kicking a bag.

Billy Longer - Great Ruckman who contributes well around the ground. Can play forward and does not look lost in link up play around the ground. Will be long gone before our pick. Top 5.

Vic C

Clay Smith - Inside mid who can also play forward on the lead or at the crumb. Not too short at 180cm. Clearance machine and very consistent player.

Devon Smith - short at 175cm, Very good on the HFF and through the midfield. Can rack up the touches inside and out and kick clever goals. Has been inconsistent this year but when he dominates he looks like top 10 material.

Matthew Buntine - Mid/HBF, has had a disappointing champs so far by his TAC standards but he is a standout with great ball use, decision making and leadership. Very disciplined player who is equally capable shutting a player out of the game as he is setting up play and kicking inside 50. He's FJ's type. If he's available, I think we'll pick him. We'd be lucky if he lasted that long though IMO.

Todd Elton- Mobile ruckman. Good leap and strong over head means he can play forward. Needs more weight, will go to GWS early

SA

Haven't seen these boys or WA play yet but this is what I've read about there kids.

Grigg - Clearance and tackle machine, Long left foot kick makes him great inside and out. A goal kicker. Very consistent. Likely to be out of reach in the top 10.

Wingard - Powerful mid, very well rounded player. Great inside and out, strong over head and in front of goals. Has a knack for knocking himself out with his courage. Will go top 3.

WA

Coniglio - Jet, Number 1 draft pick etc, etc.

Bolger - Probably our best chance and getting a ruck in the first round. Good at stoppages and around the ground. Very agile for his height, and doen't look out of place in the midfield.

There are more but I can't be bothered at this point.

Tyson for Vic Metro. JET, best kick out both feet.
Green looked good
Frost looks very good as key position. Would fill out nicely

I think Greene is Russell Greene's son, yeah? Father-son to Hawks? (And Curran as well?)

One thing that hasn't been mentioned but should be is looking at 16 year olds now.

It could very much be Tigers trading whatever to GWS for 17 year olds in 2012 on top of the draft 2012 super draft .

This suits our window unlike most so this is very possible!!

Just heard in the WA v SA U18 game special talent predicted by some in the u16 champs in Sydney!!!

This is good for Richmond and something we need to keep abreast of in line with GC and GWS!!

Its good to see that FJ and CC are there or were there prior engagements?
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think the commentators mentioned there were like six representatives from Richmond there, not sure who, but fair chance those two were also

FJ and co were there, It's not uncommon for recruiters from the same club to sit separately then compare notes after. It's a way to not have your opinion influenced by those around you.
