I just saw a newsbreak on 9 that said that Jars was boycoting fridays game because it is unfair?
Anyone know the story??

Only caught a bit of it. North's 1st game is against Norwood so he doesn't want to divulge tactics to Lewis.

Also, I gather by the guernsey, that it will be a combined North/Norwood team playing the Crows - so are the split into A's & B's too?

I didnt hear that but the explaination they said on C10 was he felt it was too early to be having a trial match and doesnt feel it will do any good. Hence why he is not even going to turn up.

This isnt the first time Jars has boycotted a crows game ;) he is making a habit of it now :D

I just wonder knowing what Jars is like if he isn't taking the pi$$. Also quite funny all three teams participating are the three teams he played for.

Jars said on 5AA that he had to go somewhere with his daughter on Friday night, that has been arranged long before the match.
That one makes the most sense.
The carry on is proberbly just PR then.

Correct :)

His daugther has a sporting commitment that he is going to and can't be at the game. He is handing over his role to Ricky MacGowan (sp). He is not going to play his really important players at the risk of injury. Nothing major in it and its nothing unusual to see Adelaide media sensationalise something so minor

i dont think they would make a lot of money out of it, and dont the crows get 10 grand out of the proceeds this yr?? While the game hardly helps our guys, if jars is going to rubbish it then i dont see why we should move it on to somewhere else nxt yr, i'm sure there would be other clubs that are reasonably grateful

With the standard of the Adelaide media, who knows what was said and what was not said, and whether it was joking or serious.

But if Jars said it and was serious, I'd scrub North Adelaide for this sort of game next year.

Personally I'd like to play Port Magpies and whup their arses. :D

Any AFL side should beat an SANFL team.

Why pick on the Magpies? Is it because you couldn't beat them in the SANFL all those years ago? Still bad memories from 94 when you lost at 8/10 on and we were 3/1?

If they are fair dinkum Centrals should be the team to play or the premiers from the year before.

Nope look at Porthos sig???
This one?

Port Adelaide Football Club: Established 1870 - 35 AFL/SANFL premierships
"We exist to win premierships"

A) It is (sort of) correct. 34 SANFL + 1 AFL.
B) It is a bit of a ********take after all the crap we got after winning last year's premiership.

The only ones saying their premierships are equivalent, are the supporters of Victorian teams.

This is Thats Power's sig:

Port Adelaide Football Club estd 1870 The Power, formerly the Magpies, 34 SANFL(VFL equivalent) flags and 1 AFL flag.

Thats two Ive found

only because it hold more water than your arguement

considering that the VFL changed its name to AFL so dont they carry on ?
considering most of your butch say that PAFC just changed their name to Power - but you also changed comp all together so really you wanted to leave - you left so deal with it - thats all i say dont try and drag stuff with you.

I just hate when they give AFL trophies back dated past 1990

Apology accepted thanks macca.
