Unwinding of commodities underway?

Overnight the prices of precious metals were hammered across the board, most likely setting the scene for a bleak weak for the Australian market. The question remains, how low can the prices go. Having been pushed up by speculators, they could possibly go into free-fall, or equally possibly, take a short breather before moving back up to previous levels.

at this stage this pullback is healthy - it had to happen.

Look at the Gold market - definitely overextended itself without consolidation...this just HAD to happen. Even the biggest bulls would have expected some sort of correction. Nothing goes up in a straight line.
