There IS no-one else
Just a thought - and correct me if I'm wrong (as I'm sure will happen :o), but ... Everyone has been debating who will have the best to offer the Eagles to get Judd - Carlton, Collingwood, pick this, pick that, player so-and-so etc etc. Yet, is Judd not going around at the moment trying to decide which club he wants to go to? Does that then mean that once he has chosen, Eagles will HAVE to come to an agreement with THAT club or risk getting zilch if Judd goes into the draft?

So, doesn't the debate swing dramatically in favor of his prefered team? Of course WCE are not going to just give him away for peanuts, but in the end, they'll HAVE to accept something or risk getting nothing? .. yes? ..no?

I suspect he'll probably narrow the four down to two or three and then prioritise.

I don't think he'll walk into the PSD unless a deal can't done with at least two of the four clubs.

I would be surprised if Judd didn't make a B-Line for the team that has the most room in it's salary cap (and the funds to meet it) over the next few years. That would have to rule Carlton out, with so many #1 draft picks needing to be paid for the remainder of Judd's career, and make Melbourne or Collingwood look pretty attractive.

Whatever we offer him in the salary cap is almost a secondary consideration.

What we can offer him outside the cap is more important in terms of the marketing component of his deal and also what we can set him up with off the field in terms of a business portfolio is massively important.

Gemba?
