URI/URL questions

Hi all

I'm studying IT and one of the questions that I have to answer this week and the only one that I don't know the exact answer to is the following;

1. [FONT=&quot]How can the following data be embedded into a URI:[/FONT]
   1. [FONT=&quot]An authentication username and/or password[/FONT]
   2. [FONT=&quot]A specific connection port number[/FONT]
   3. [FONT=&quot]A query (additional information to provide to the server)[/FONT]

It's just a practical exercise (non-assessment) but I have no idea. I've tried looking it up also.
