How will this side go at the olympics. I think they are far from a lock for the gold medal. They are going to be fun to watch but with duncan there tallest player at just 7'0 i think its gunna be tough as good as tim duncan is. They lack height and have boozer named as a foward/centre. Sure boozer was a force on the boards last season at power foward but is his going to be able to board like that against the like of yao ming and others. Looking foward to seeing AI and Starbury in the back court together tho.

I think they will win it. But it wont be easy and i wouldnt be suprised if they didnt win the gold.

The Backcourt is aesome and if they score well they should have no troubles.

They'll win the gold. Serbia and Montenegro will basically have their second side out on the court apart from a couple of old european stars.

I think US has got the gold won already.

Remains to be seen but after their humiliating finish in the WC 2002, they have started their training camp much earlier that ever before. I reckonBrown will have them in sync once Olympics come around.

Peja, Jaric and Divac are not playing.

The only NBA players that would possibly make the roster are Drobnjak, Radmanovic, Cabarkapa and god help us Pavlovic.

Vujanic will most likely be our starting PG but because Jaric is out due to some heel surgery he is unlikely to have a quality back up. Probably his back up will be Igor Rakocevic who was a bench warmer a couple of years ago with the Timbervolwes. Krstic might make the cut but apart from 2-3 quality europen players the rest is pretty thin.

Personally, I would be stoked if we got silver but somehow I see a bronze medal as our best bet

The squad of 15 will be trimmed down to 12 in the next week or so. I will post it as soon as I find out.

Here is teh 15 players that are fighting it out for the final 12 spots

Well if Boozer was a force on the boards against Yao Ming and others last year than why wont he be during these games?

Anyway you would hope that Stoudamire gets the starting gig.

I agree. The way I see it it will be something like this:

Gold: USA
Silver: Argentina
Bronze: Serbia and Montenegro

It's an ok side but far from there best, they should win but wont dominate like they could.
