Has anybody played it?
I'm planning to buy it later today. I read the review and it is given 9/10 by IGN but I think it's best to ask the PS3 players of BF if the game is any good.

I was really looking forward to this game....but I downloaded the demo a while ago and it didn't impress me that much.

Maybe check out the demo before investing?

yeh i d/l'ed the demo when the high reviews started coming out and i dunno if it's just cause i'm not really into that type of game but it felt too easy and FAR too slow for my liking.....
def try the demo before buying i think....
but if you already know that you like that gametype then it probably is a title for you

Also, Valkyria Chronicles can be a tremendous challenge, where one mistake could cost you a lot of time. This isn't necessarily a weakness of the game, but it might discourage RPG enthusiasts who aren't comfortable with intense, bullet-dodging action.

I bought it and played it today. It's a fun game. A lot of loading for the numerous clips but organising a squad and strategically placing them to beat the opposition is fun as. There is macro management where you pick squads and and micro management where you participate as the different squad members. There are only about 4 or 5 classes.

Decent game. 2D waterpencil drawing makes it look cool and the graphics are great. It took me about 15 minutes to fully understand how the battle system work but it's easy to understand. Control are easy to use.

Letdown is as suggested by the above post where one mistake can cost you a lot of time. And not saving. ALWAYS SAVE!

maybe i'm a better gamer than i give myself credit for

haha nah it just felt so easy coz when u aim you stop time and i just headshot everyone in one shot and breezed through the whole demo...

but as i said....too slow for my liking...which is why i reckon fallout 3 will disappoint me if i ever decide to actually put it in the system
