Just take a fleeting moment and reflect what was asked of all of us last year to keep this club going. The majority of people came forward and “GAVE” freely, in return we were assured a bright future on and off the field. Where’s Alcock and Garlick now, no where to be seen? Where’s our bright future? Can’t believe a word they say.

Supported this club since 95 but quite honestly I'm on the verge of giving up. At least when we were a basket case back in the late 90s, early 2000s we could pull out some exciting moments and you kind of knew that you were sh*t. But there's no excuse for how things are these days. Not in this super professional era. We're boring, we're soft and we have no game plans.

You know. I had a good think about it and I've been angry. I've been angry about the gutless performances of people like Wilson and its hurt watching and thinking about it.

But I've stuck with club through the bad days and the goods. I remember crying my eyes out when we missed the finals 97 after getting done by cellar dwellers Melbourne when I was 12. I remember Allan's kick after the siren in 96. I remember watching the bombers cave us in 2003. I remember us destroy teams in 2006. I remember sitting in a weird bowling alley with a bunch of random people in the middle of London at 4am in the morning and choking back tears as we threw it all away.

I remember all kinds of good things about this team and its not the coaches or players who make us.

It's freo and we bleed purple. And when our day finally comes it's going to be awesome!

The obsession with drafting mids and back flankers with our first picks year after year is madness. Overlooking potential talls has got us into the mess we are in .
Even now there are some advocating drafting a mid or winger with our early pick.
Some lessons are never learnt.
Even then we’re stuck playing tucker and aish at half back, can’t manage to drop Wilson

It’s all a mess

Longmuir seriously needs to grow some balls, be ruthless over the pre-season and de-list the following players:
  • Wilson: Just MUST go. If this guy is playing for us next year I will not be renewing my membership. Proved to the world today that he has no heart or competitive spirit. Soft as they come, has no football intelligence and all he knows how to do is blindly bomb it long without knowing how to look or lower his eyes. Should stick to drawing tattoos and hanging out with [PLAYERCARD]Harley Bennell[/PLAYERCARD].
  • Tucker: I used to like this guy and I've given him so many chances but he's just such a vanilla player. Looks like tarzan plays like Jane. The number of times he gets done holding the ball or giving time for the opposition to zone up because it takes him 5 seconds to make a decision with the ball frustrates me every f*cking game.
  • Blakely: Still p*ss weak at being able to ensure he doesn't turn the ball over when tackled, still gets down holding the ball too many times. Still gets sucked into the contest. Thought he was okay against Sydney apart from the one obligatory holding the ball against him in D50, but it's now time to GTFO!
  • Crowden: Again used to like him, but tough decisions need to be made. What the F*ck was he doing yesterday?! 14.4km covered and 8 touches...?

Guys on notice:
  • Logue: Always good for costing us ~2 goals a game with his brain fades or basic skill errors. Fix them up or get the f*ck out.
  • Schultz: Can't always go missing when the chips are down. Laughable to not make the distance from 40m out on the siren yesterday. Work on your consistency or GTFO.
  • Lobb: No heart.
  • Bewley (maybe a bit harsh as he hasn't had as many opportunities as the others).

Good point and I didn't notice that until now. We are just an easy money spinner to them.

We are doing quite a bit right still, but the things we are doing wrong make us seem so incredibly shit

We are winning enough midfield contests, transitioning from back to front okay, but it's either our inside 50 entries, shot conversion or both that are really letting us down. That and our obvious lack of i50 pressure, making tackles stick - not just i50 but around the ground as well

I wonder if we'd ever have a CEO writing to members admitting that we were playing like shit and needed to review what was going on. Like Nisbett did last week.

Geez I’m dreading going to the derby knowing that the same three maggots will be umpiring the enjoyment of attending that game has gone already.
This was seriously one of the worst umpired games I've watched this year.

Why would we? Our club accepts mediocrity

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but have a feeling our percentage (87) is more a reflection of where we are now.
This percentage is down from the last 2 years. All in all, we are not tracking well.
Kicking accuracy makes it look worse than it is in terms of general play. We've not kicked well preiviously but we've been dire this year.

Just to put it in perspective. We have had more scores than every non-top 7 team except Carlton. We have only kicked more goals than Gold Coast and North.

That's how bad our goalkicking has been. 201.244

Wilson doesn’t deserve to play at this level for the rest of the season after that garbage effort in the 1st. So, so awful.
Hasn’t looked the same with his form at GWS. Chapman will take his spot.
Hughes is far better and always has been then Wilson. No idea why he’s not playing yet Tucker, Wilson, Crowden continue to produce pea hearted out of their league garbage

We are becoming a bit like Carlton the way we play C grade footballers in an AFL side for most of the year.

Blakely, Henry (hate to admit it), Watson, Logue, Wilson, Acres, Tucker, Crowden, Bewley, Western, Duman (when not injured).

Also, Brisbane leading possessions but also the tackle count 75 - 30!. If you are not concentrating on this Justin then pack your bags and ride off into the sunset.

When posters talk about how good we would be if we kicked straight. I mean one of our more accurate forwards almost missed his foot entirely from 40 out but yeah, if we just turn that around we will be fine right! Lolz

From the game last week V Richmond.
Dalgleish... yousoccer the ball it is deliberate out of bounds. Maggetts follows suit witht he same spiel.
Yesterday ball soccered out of bounds...Maggetts.. it is not a hard and fast rule.
Is it a rule at all or was Dalgleish just pulling it from his rectum.... as per usual?
Yesterday,Maggets on a ball dleiberately pushed out of bounds.Freo players plead, beg for deliberate.Maggetts, I can't pay what I can't see. Shees, never stoped him before.Like his mate, Dalgleish, they always pay what they can't see and not pay what they do see. They make us shit. Same as the three yesterday did.

So what happens now? Technically we can still finish 7th so do we keep playing the spuds and try for an unlikely finals berth or get games into the next gen talent? Every minute on the pitch will be invaluable to the kids.

Imagine the inclusion of Fyfe, Sturt, Lobb, Walters, Hamling, Cox, Chapman and Fredrick into that team next year. If that's the case, continuing with Western, Walker, Henry, Watson, O'Driscoll and Treacy would benefit 2022, should they remain in no matter what?

well everyone keeps saying... play the kids.So of course we have to.
I know I would like to see those kids that are in the side now, stay there. They will learn more by getting towelled up at AFL level than playing for Peel.

We are already playing the kids. Any kids we have left are either injured (Sturt, Freddy, Chapman) or not ready yet (NOD). Pretty sure we played the 2nd youngest team of the round this week.

edit - 3rd least experienced. It really is just Mundy holding up both our average and experience numbers. Take him out and we'd be clear lowest by age and experience.
