The upgrade is capped. IIRC it is capped at 5k.

Yeah it has to be capped, hence why it's now a waitlist, it would be important to maintain some access for general members otherwise there would rightfully be a riot.

I've been paying for the gf upgrade since about 2022, it's been going up every year. This year it was $100 extra on top of your membership.

On the other hand you'll always be able to resell them, and then there are some additional packages released through competing clubs once they're locked in.

Kinda counting on that resale market myself now. In 2013 I bought the cheapest one about half an hour after the Swans prelim. Now all the cheap ones are taken by round 13...

(Cheap in this context is $1,700 I should add)

The wife an I each have the upgrade. My son is on the waiting list. It is not cheap but you cant value its worth based on GF ticket prices alone. The real benefit is the ability to just buy a ticket and then make your own arrangements, instead of getting pinged with one of those outrageously expensive packages. The third line forcing in those things is nuts.
