The only positive is that we don't deserve to be in the finals, but I can't see 2013 being any better. I hope it is for Hird's sake otherwise GEMBA could have its key asset back and that Tennis World Cup is back on! We give away too many free kicks and unnecessary 50's. Perhaps we could recruit an ex umpire to coach us on how to not give away frees and instead be in a position to get them. A good starting point if we just accepted the umpire's decision and just shut *** **** up when a decision is given against us.

IMO, the players have lost faith in the coaching staff as a result of their faith in Dean Robinson. They aren't playing like a group who believes in the leadership of the staff. This isn't entirely the players' fault. They haven't got faith in the ability of their own bodies to hold up.

We're not going to move forward with the likes of Lonergan, Monfries, Jetta, Hardingham and unless he pulls his finger out and grows a brain Hooker. For too long these guys have been on the list and still can't guarantee them best 22, **** it, best 30. I'm sick of being the almost rans, time for this club to get serious about who exactly is going to take us into the future.

Players were given a bum steer by the coaches today. They thought they could employ the exact same tactics as last time, hope that Carlton didn't learn from it, then had no plan b when it fell down.

Too many dumb footballers in our defensive half. Hooker is pretty good one on one and is a strong contested mark but he costs us too many goals from making really dumb decisions.

Despite this I'm still reasonably happy with the season. When we had something that resembled a close to full list and continuation within the playing group, we were a top 4-6 team. Injuries to all our core players (bar Watson) and destabilization, and our season falls in a heap.

We just need to cross our fingers and hope that the work the weapon has put into the players will start to pay off next year.
