I was there but got a call and had to leave at half time.

Polo not playing.

Better players for us were Hicks, Taylor, Browne and Gilligan.

Wind was across the ground blowing toward st.kilda slightly favouring the end we kicked in first quarter but only 1 - 2 goals.

Incidntly Ty Vick was the only senior player i saw at the ground.

I too had to leave at half-time. Browne dominated to that point and it is a relief to know that we have finally developed a great Ruck division.

Hicksy kicked 2 in the first and Taylor supplied a few cameo's. I thought Post was moving well up to that stage as well.

Forget the final score, the WB's seconds are a couple of years ahead of us in development. Loved the look of the backline (Gourdis, Rance, Grimes).

How where Grimes and Gourdis up untill half time?
Very good first quarter, particularly Gourdis who repelled a couple of attacks with searching runs out of the backline. In the second they seemed to get mixed up a little and found themselves swapping forwards on occasions. Rance made a couple of mistakes but they were in the throes of 'taking on' the opposition, something Dimma doesn't mind them doing.

The three of them seem to be developing the same assuredness that we see in Newy, Thursty and Moore.:thumbsu:

did contin play reserves or seniors?

good to see hicks kick a couple, taylor show some good signs, and browne morton and post named among the best.

k thanks, both Gourdis and Grimes have played some good games and could be a solid combination.
