2024 VFL and VFLW season dates confirmed

The 2024 season dates for the Smithy’s VFL and rebel VFLW competitions have been confirmed

VFLW:-

The 2024 rebel VFLW season will begin on the weekend of March 23-24.

The competition will consist of a 14-round home-and-away season, ahead of a four-week finals series.

There will be no competition byes scheduled during the 2024 rebel VFLW season, with all teams to play during the King’s Birthday weekend.

Guerin had a game for North Adelaide a couple of weeks back in the SANFLW.

Did we allow this as part of her knee rehab?

Was surprised to see so many of our young AFLW players playing yesterday.

Be a long year for them if they play both VFLW and AFLW.

Sherar, Vickers, Skepper, Austin & Keck all looked a cut above out there, particularly fitness wise.

I think from memory they don’t play the whole season, maybe a handful of games and we just rotate AFLW players through as needed.

Maddy Guerin posted about the Roosters game on her Instagram so I presume the club was ok with it. 24 disposals and 5 tackles (on a scorcher of a day too) a reasonable effort in her first full game back from an ACL!
