hey all.
what is the best way to get the DVD video onto the computer so i can work on it?
im doing some editing and have been given 8 DVDs. the DVDs are recorded from TV.
Basically, the show Football Superstar on foxtel was won by a work mates son. he asked me if it was possible to put something together for him throughout the show.
the idea is to look at all the footage from him, put it all together then give it back to him on a DVD to watch.
Whenever i have done editing in the past i have used footage from digital cameras, so they were already in the correct formats.
I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 but cant get it to import a DVD.
Ive tried Adobe Premiere Elements 4 but the file size ended up at nearly 13gb for a 40min video.
If i was to do it this way and get the footage off all 8 DVDs, it would end up at around 100gb. there is no way i would be able to burn that to a DVD.
any ideas?
i know i can bump the quality down heaps to get the file size down, but id prefer to leave it as best as can be.
