OK, I had asked this on Bay 13, but this seems to be where the computer experts hang out.

I downloaded Underbelly, and also Winamp but when I try to play, all I get is sound - no picture(movie) at all. :(
Can somebody please help me. Thanks

winamp is mainly used to play mp3 or sound files (although it can play some video formats with a plugin)

your best bet is to get vlc player....it supports just about everything

yeah. or you may need to convert the file to watch it.

OK!! I downloaded the VLC player. Now, how do I get it to work

Alternatively, how do I convert the file to be able to play it with my Windows Media Player?

I am not a computer expert, so I need some guidance here, please! Thanks!!

Depends on what sort of file it is. If it's an archive (zip, rar etc) you'll need to need to uncompress it (although I believe VLC will play a compressed file). Right click on file and "open with" VLC.
Alternatively download and install SUPER and convert it to whatever takes your fancy. Apart from VLC both Media Player Classic and GOM Player are better than WMP.

It clearly does not need to be converted. If it is playing on WMP than it is in a video format.

Download codecs from

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

install them.

Open VLC and then click 'File' > 'Open File'

Select the video file you want to play from your Hard Drive and away you go.
