Guys - sorry about the non football type post but after some help. Heading to Melbourne 23rd June and hopefully the MCG 24th June having never been there in my entire life :(. Where can I buy tickets - not yet listed on Ticket master and where should I try and get seats - best spot to see the game - was actually thinking (when couldn't get any through TM) of the premium ones on level 2???

Any advice muchly appreciated

thanks

Tickets can be purchased via ticketek for mcg games. You should be able to get an ok seat at the ground on the day too.

The ponsford stand is the Collingwood end and behind the goals. The Olympic and parts of the southern stand are on the wings. I'd recommend the Olympic over the southern, it's on the interchange side but seating is a bit more roomy and not as steep, plus you'll be in the shade.

Level 2 offers the best view, but the first few rows of the upper tier aren't bad either. Ground level arguably a bit more atmosphere, but it's by and large what you make of it.

Mcg tours and the sports museum are worth a look too if you're into that kind of stuff.

You can go to afl.com.au, find the game and select 'buy tickets'. It will give you options depending on how much you are willing to pay and how good seats you want, it works in conjunction with ticketek but be quick, its already quite late for reserved general admission.

But all else failing you can just rock up on the day, go to the window and buy a nosebleed GA ticket. It is not going to sell out.
