10 years ago I bumped into a 'mate' in a pub who was reading an article on the front page of The Hun about potentially banning burkahs. When I asked him why he was reading that rubbish he replied, "Well, if banning the burkah saves only one life then it's worth it." Presumably he was worried about Muslim women hiding bombs under their burkahs or some other such BS.
I came back with, "Well, if you really want to save Aussie lives then ban alcohol. Count all the deaths and injuries from car accidents, domestic violence, falling off ladders, etc. that happen when people get drunk."
My 'mate' could only splutter, "But, but..."
"But if it only saves one life," I chimed in.
He had no comeback. Most racists are like that. You can pin them down till they squirm like a bug by confronting them with logic (the rest of his immediate family were witnesses) - or otherwise they project and avoid.
I'm no longer a 'mate' of that racist flog.
P.S. I saw Viv play several times at the G. What an out-and-out champion player and person. He would have made mincemeat out of Austraya's current Test team.

But this is the thing. A lot of those celebrities and many others claim to be Muslim. They say how much they love the religion and how much it’s changed their lives. But then you see them drinking, taking drugs, womanising etc. and you think “I didn’t think muslims were allowed to do that”.
You are a classic example of this. You go on and on about Islam and Islamophobia but you are an incredibly sinful person (if you actually believe in the religion). I don’t particularly care what you do/believe in but you cannot have it both ways. It’s gotta be one or the other.

Etc., etc.
99% of them are BS artists - their religions are merely a prop behind which they hide and excuse the inexcusable. That's the way of this world.
