Yup. Tis true unfortunately. Anything to squeeze an extra buck out of the masses. Mind you, ten years ago, ground passess dint even get you onto the showcourts. You could wander around the outside courts and that was about it. They also cost next to bugger all back then too, though.

I wouldnt bother going anyway. The value for money just isnt there anymore- best seats in the house are at home in front of the telly now.

Well, I didnt know that about the situation 10 years ago. (I've been going to the tennis maybe the past 5 years. Watching it on TV for maybe 10).

That is shit. Serioulsy. What a bunch of stingy assholes.

Sure, have your reserved seating behind the baseline (ie the "good seats) for people that wanna get reserved. The only day me and my friends could go to the last open, it just happened to RAIN pretty much all day. So yeah, too bad for the people with ground passes now if that happens!!

Not to mention if the extreme heat policy goes into effect as well.

Oh well, Australian Open you have saved me some money next year. I will stay home and watch it on Channel Seven and Foxy. :)

PS. Thanks Whippersnipper for that clarification. :thumbsu:
