Had a win against quenbeyan today in the half a game practice match by a goal in very hot conditions at quenbeyan. Voguels stood out for me and looks impressive

I'll pay that.He showed glimpses in the Wizard Cup and yesterday he was great.
Roos said that he benfited by playing against men in his local league as it has given him confidence.
We rely on Hall too much so it is good to have another marking option we can kick to.

Our already potent forward line looks that much better with Vogels there now.

We're gonna have a hard time fitting in all the talls into this team, when schaubs and ball come back. I wonder why schaubs got dropped in the first place. Anyone know? Cos surely hes more important than LRT?

There are so many players that are looking for a spot in the team yet LRT is there, week in week out.

I don't mean to be harsh, but unless he bulks up and start trying to play in the ruck, he's useless.

He's unco, poorly skilled and very very indecisive during pressure situations.

And Vogels is a freak. he should pick up a Rising Star nomination any time soon if he continues to play the way he is playing right now.

I am surprised that he was overlooked in the 2001 draft!

I think we were after some faster players to match the dogs. Sure im not a big fan of LRT but i think he played alright against them. All the basics were there and I hope he can keep it up.

LRT is developing, slowly. I had grave doubts about him for a long time and I'm still not sure he'll make it, but I can see definite signs of improvement and occasional glimpses of star quality. Against the Bullies, his 45-metre left-foot pass on the run to O'Loughlin in the first quarter was magnificent. His greatest shortcoming, for a tall player, is his lack of overhead marking skills. He is quick, his decision-making is much, much better than it was a year ago, and he does look stronger. He needs a lot of gym work and some intensive coaching, but I'm beginning to believe he'll get there in a year or two. Still haven't worked out what sort of player he'll become.

Well put - for all his shakiness as a player, there were two or three moments from the Dogs game, including the one you mentioned, that suggested a smart player still developing. I'm also thinking of his mark in the last quarter, running back with the flight of the ball. So while Rob-Tom still makes me nervous, I do think he's the victim of WAAAY too much flak from Swans fans.

He was 21 at the beginning of this year, so I think he's snuck in and still in with a chance.

You have to be under 21 on 1 Jan of the relevant year. Too old.

In regards to LRT, rugby to afl converts always have poor overhead marking skills and general ball handling skills.
