Re: Votes for Rd 4 vs Sydney

5. kerr. tore his 3rd game opponent apart. also worked well defeinsively
4. stenglein. great tagging role all night. modern day great tagger
3. braun. excellent hard running
2. hansen. great leading to the boundry al the time
1. woosha. great coaching playing cox injured waters in the middle

Are you on drugs?

Kerr was shut down comprehensively by Keiran Jack - a sixth gamer, who still managed to get a goal himself. And Woosha as number 1? Yeah definately great coaching  Waters played well considering... he did lay a few good tackles and applied some good pressure.. but Cox? Sure he did well considering his injury, and did win out in the ruck competition - but I wouldnt say that its great coaching.

Its a game that West Coast didn't have much of a chance at winning, and personally, I think they would have been better off resting Cox'y, to ensure that by next weekend he will be fit and ready - Hopefully with the support of Fletch and Embers. Yeah, he will probably play next weekend anyway. But he definately wont be match fit.

If you ask me.. my top 5 would be:

1. McKinley - Booted 4 of your teams 5 goals as a forward pocket. Didnt do an awful lot around the ball, and finished with about 10 touches I think. But he did a great job for a rookie, and with a permanantly out of form full forward in Lynch, and a quiet day for Ash Hanson, McKinley definately stepped up and provided what was necessary.

2. Rosa - Had a decent game. Probably the only real standout in a team that was comprehensively beaten in all aspects. Took some good marks, and provided a lot of pressure with not much support. If not for McKinley's 4 goal effort as a rookie, Rosa would have been number 1 for me.

3. Masten - One of the top possession winners for WC, Masten took a few marks and laid half a dozen good tackles to provide some great defensive pressure. Another rookie from last years draft who stood up for you guys, when the experienced guys in the team failed to step up. Given more game time, and support from the rest of the team, Masten will definately be a greatg player for your team.

4. Stenglein - Another of your high possession winners. Took a few hit outs, and laid a few strong tackles as well, to provide some more defensive support against the tide.

5. Cox - Considering he's nursing a foot injury, Cox'y had a good game. Won the ruck contest considerably. He was lacking his usual flair, and speed and it was obvious he was in pain... but that is not all surprising considering his injury. Most players would not have played carrying that foot injury. Seaby also did a good job alongside him, but my vote would have to go to Cox.

Armstrong - Unlucky to miss votes, Army played an average game which could have been a good game if he had converted some of those kicks.

WC need some options up forward. In previous years it has been ok, because if Lynch didnt do much, Hanson did, or Hunter got a few from pinch-hitting up forward. Aswell as that, Kerr, Judd and Cousins got a handfull of goals between them on regular occasions to hold the team up. Aswell as that, the crumbing of Lecras also added to your forward options. Now, without that as an option the weakened forward line is exposed to any team with a half decent back line.

Chad Jones needs to get his consistency up in the big game. He's always getting a bag in the WAFL... got 7 goals this weekend and will probably see himself playing next weekend for The Eagles. If he can establish himself into your 22, the addition will be invaluable for you guys to continue your assault for another cup.

Kennedy will also be a valuable insertion into your forward line. Especially with Lecras out for another couple of weeks, the forward line needs all the help it can get. Chances are, he will also be included in next weeks team, so I guess we will see then.

In any case, I hope you guys can get your season back on the line. You have a promising list, and its good to see you up there, especially considering our recent rivalry.

i was being sarcastic. kerr is the most overated footballer in teh comp. cant kick, puts team mates under pressure more often than not and falls to peices as soon as someone tags him. stenglien is the worst number 1 tagger out of all 16 clubs. gets beaten regularly and is useless around stopages and slows the game up if he marks as he dosnt kick to leading players.

aaahhh.... lol. Well, when I was reading it I was thinking at the back of my mind "is this guy for real" and it did cross my mind that you were being sarcastic.. but there were no smilies or anything at the end to give it anything away.. haha.

my bad.
