Bruce and Johnstone? You have to be kidding. Bruce was average at best. Yes got plenty of touches, but wasnt damaging at all, and didnt have any awareness.
Johnstone, weakest player in the league. Didnt chase, didnt tackle, and didnt go hard at the man or ball once. Let players get past him so easily, even the dud ruckman they have got past him without getting touched. Absolute disgrace so far this year.
Miller presented all day, so atleast he gave 100%, Moloney was very good but got injured, Green was our only option up forward and presented well, and I thought Jones gave his all as usual, one of the only players prepared to go in hard.

Maybe he didn't have much of an impact on the game, but this was mostly due for two reasons.

1) Absolutely atrocious delivery to him. Almost every pass was above his head, which gave the Geelong defender an easy chance to spoil.

2) No forward options to kick to. When he did get the ball (8 marks), there was no Neitz or Robertson like there usually is. So this obviously made his decision-making tougher.

I gave him one vote because I thought that he worked very hard (I like to keep an eye on him when I am at the ground and see how much he runs) and I have been encouraged by his slight improvement in form recently.

Im sick of everyone having a go at Johnstone, he was never a real hard running, workhorse of a player. But I believe he gave a 100% yesterday and to me it showed, he was very effective in his disposal and he had the 2nd most contested possesions for Melbourne so give him a break, he tried. Also I believe with neitz and Robbo in the side all of the players would of looked much better and way more organised than they did, so critisim of the players should be toned down slightly

Refer to my previous post. If you call that 100% then your kidding yourself. Didnt have the balls to even try and stop any player get past him, he virtually just stood and watched them run around him. Wheres the commitment? Wheres the passion? Wheres the heart? Wheres the accountability? Unfortunately he is lacking in all these aspects so far this year. Dont get me wrong I think trapper is a very good player, even sensational when he is on, but when hes out of form he must atleast do the 1%ers Daveys out of form, but atleast hes effort is there, he runs and tackles, Johnstone doesnt, he just looked so bloody lazy against the cats.
Im sick of mediocre performances of our so called "star players".

How funny was the free kick Green got when there was surely no physical way that the Geelong guy could have given one away? Will almost certainly rank as the funniest thing to happen this season.

No votes to Bruce, cheap possesions around half-back anyone can get. Where was he when Prismall kicked 3 goals in the 1st half, who I believe was Cam's opponent for most of the day.
