Can't believe I see hibberd with a vote... Was putrid, with one of the worst quarters Individually for the year, except for the 4 quarters hooker and pears had tonight!

1. Hibberd, purely for application. His disposal let him down.

Also didn't... hate... Hardingham's game, although if you can get both hands to it MARK THE BLOODY THING.

Hardi still did the requisite two turnovers leading to goals thing. Really needs to get that out of his game, as he was very solid otherwise. It's mostly poor choices, or not handling the pressure, so I hope it will go out of his game as he gets more experience.

Anyhow, my votes:

I can't disagree more. Hardingham's biggest problem (apart from his kicking off one step) is that he allows the ball to go through to the back of the contest when he attempts to mark the ball.

I would think he has been instructed to kill the contest each time which he does with a punch

You may also notice more often than not his punches are directed to the boundary. This is a vast improvement on last year.

So I say let him continue to punch and kill the contest.

Yeah, I'm talking about when he's completely in the open and he's double-fisting the ball.

There's a time an a place for a spoil.

Lol at Hille getting votes. Apart from the last quarter (which was pretty good), he was poor and back to his usual, defensively-lazy self, imo. Only 20 hitouts and a lot of them were against Maxwell.

Lol at having Zaka second and not Stanton in your votes - did you just watch highlights?

TBH agree with Mumbo Jumbo on Hille. Shadow of his former self. Did some ok things but his decision making and judgement is seriously lacking.

3/ Hille - played well, competed manfully against the odds as the sole ruck. Because he got the ball a bit he kept Jolly honest. I have been critical of his efforts at times this year but last night was a vast improvement and suggests to me that he still has a role to play as our 3rd ruck until we have another option. Hope he is not too proud to accept a lesser role for next year.
2/ Howlett - would it be too big a call to say that the difference with our competitiveness last night to the previous couple of weeks was simply down to the absence of this bloke in our midfield.
1/ Stanton - got a bit of it. Rand harder than recent games but for whatever reason has lost a lot of is incisiveness and impact going forward.

5.Watson (as a big distance between 1st and 2nd on our list as there was in '96)
