3 - Hird - for that final qtr goal if nothing else
2 - Stanton - seemed to be everywhere tonight. Wish he'd kicked straighter
3 - NLM - tried his guts out in the first half

Whereas Bolton perfectly assisits opponents with his passes
at least Bolton plays for the team, can't say the same about Peveril. He's more than happy to run hard when we have the ball but not the other way which he used to be so good at.

what were peoples thoughts on Johns game? 15 possies 8 marks and a goal.

Was pretty good, couple of times he failed to handball to the bloke running past, other than that he was okay.

Dempsey was impressive though not near votes.
Seemed a little over awed by it all at times. A few turn overs and could certainly have done better. He did set up a Lucas goal with a nice handpass though so cant really complain.

3. Pev, in everything
2. Stants.
1. Watson.
No Hird?? Did you miss the second quarter where he had like 6 clearances in a row to get us back from a four goal deficit? Shades of Rd 3 2004.

Check his first quarter zafa, loose man in defence picking up too many cheap ones and going straight to a tiger, very sloppy ( have i just shot bambi?)

3 pev
2 stants
1 jim

I reckon dempsey will be good. yes he looked overawed a couple of times, but just needs the confidence to back himself a bit more and RUN (not jog) and break the lines

dyson is starting to do that, and showing a bit more of what he's capable of.

yes they'll get run-down on occasion, but more often than not they will be faster and able to get away from most players with average footspeed

3 - Hird
2 - NLM
1 - Stanton

- Good effort by the boys, Fletch would have made all the difference. Bring on that PP pick. Sheeds leaving Keps on Richo was questionable.

Admittedly I was at work and missed the first quarter, but I thought he was by far the best in the other three.

2- Hird
1- Johns

3- Hird
2- NLM
1- Watson

Have to say, Dyson looked like T. Watson with his dashes down the middle. I think someone put a cracker up his clacker. Hope to see more of them from him next season.:thumbsu:

Great to see him take the game on, the odd block from his teammates wouldn't have gone astray, he just has to kick goals. Don't pass when you're 50-60 out Rick, go for home.

Also have to note Stanton's engine....in a word 'incredible' Even when the game looked to be gone midway through the final term, he STILL ran hard into our forward 50.

Dyson: We need players like Dyson, Dempsey, Lovett and Licha to break the lines and make the play through the middle. I know Dyson got caught a couple of times yesterday, but I think that he needs to keep backing himself.

Why wasn't Solomon moved to Richo? I thought maybe the ruckman could have gone back to block the hole between the midfield and Richo. Watching Bradley was like watching Zac Dawson, our midfield didn't pressure the kicker anywhere near enough, and we had no-one helping him out at all.

Peveril must go! just not accountable enough anymore and doesnt huirt any teams with his disposals!

Geez that's a rough call. He picked up 32 possesions and IMO played one of his best games, did all the hard things.
His disposal was fine tonight also, nothing wrong with it. Just because his kicking looks awkward doesn't mean it is.
And in terms of being delisted, there are plenty more under the guillotine than Pev. He sets a fine example at training for the younger blokes as he is one of the hardest trainers at the club. And his form over the last 5-6 weeks has been top 5 B & F worthy.
