I thought I better get this started with the season nearly starting.

System 1: 5-4-3-2-1

System 2: 4-3-2-1

System 3: 3-2-1

System 4: Rating out of 10 for every player, and then averaged out

System 5: Rating out of 10 for the best players named by you

There you go, voting can start now up until 6:00pm AEST Saturday 27th of March for the system.

A Player of the month may be introduced but will not exist in March due to one game. But I spose I will discuss it with the mods over April depending on which system is chosen.

There will definately player of the season as voted by you throughout the year!

As for voting for best player. Voting will start immediately after each match is finished and closed the following Friday at 6:00pm AEST.

*Do you think this should be limited to Geelong supporters only? Note: Stupid votes by users will not be included eg. BOG for one kick if judged so by the mods.

GO CATS! GET IN THERE!

*BTW, could one of the mods changed the poll name from used to use....stupid! stupid!

System 1 or 3 works for me.

Do you want to have a specific thread for voting on each weeks game, or should i merely make a sticky for match discussion, and have the votes cast in there?

I prefer 5, can't see the point in awarding exactly the same amount of points each week if one week we really are pathetic, while the next week four or five players really shine.

However I'd prefer it if the voter nominates the players, rather than using the players nominted by afl.com.au. they can be such nongs.

System 1 seems best to me. Any five players out of a weekly squad list of 22, win or lose, seems most appropriate, all matters concerned.

Anything less seems like not enough players (especially when we win), and any more players would border on a touch of overkill, methinks. Also bear in mind that someone has to do the maths on tabulating all the votes, and it's best to keep the polling as simple as possible.

Besides, on a 5-4-3-2-1 or a best-of-ten system, five players seems best... leads itself right into the best system.

Looking forward to Saturday night. :)
