Just looking at the draw, and being a SA supporter we tend to get screwed when either the Crows or Power play at the same time as us. A few times this year we had either the Crows or Power on FTA and Foxtel at the same time, while we don't even get to see our great club play. What happened to the good old days when if you had Foxtel you had the choice to watch any game of the round. SA supporters will have clashes in rounds 4, 7, 8, 11 and 21. While WA supporters will have clashes in rounds 6, 9, 11, 20 and 21. Now i'm not saying we will miss out on all five each, but there's a fair chance we will be extremely pissed off a few times next year. Overall the draw is a frigging ripper for the club, and also more FTA games next year will be good for the club too. Finally just like to say, WELCOME BACK FRIDAY NIGHTS for the Blues.

makes you want to take up another interest...

...i mean you've paid every possible bit of money to watch footy on TV and you still have to miss out on a few matches. Pearce off channel 7!

Bring Fox Footy back i say, it won't solve the problem but geez i miss it. Don't know why they stopped Fox Footy, but you would think the AFL would be keen for that to come back, to provide more exposure of the sport and to educate people with the history of the game through past games and shows dedicated to looking back to the old days like Grumpy Old Men.

Don't know why they stopped Fox Footy,.

That's exactly the way "they" want it. "They" being channel 7. They hate foxtel for beating their Optus pay tv attempt and they did everything they could to make sure fox footy died. they tried to get footy off foxtel all together, but ended up having to settle for mangling the foxtel coverage.

Don't Foxtel show every game every round in SA & WA??

yes, but not as soon as possible. sometimes there will be a saturday game and it will be played at 9:30 Sunday Morning...

Commercial TV sports coverage should be torpedoed altogether. I know some can't afford cable / Fox, but I look at the coverage of sport in Europe and the US and it craps over what the commercial channels deliver.
Also, you will find with Perth, the WA Football Commission dictate to the AFL / 7 what games are televised in competition to Failmantle and Wet Toast.

To me it should be about choice, if you are a member or a supporter you would attend the games, but if they haven't noticed, there are opposition supporters living in these states as well.

is it me, or has channel 7 caved in with the start of the friday night games.
looked at the form guide in todays Hun and it has friday night games being televised at 7.30..

Won't happen. Some things are just too vital to the national interest.

Hardly a shock there TC. Our sporting coverage all over Australia is disappointing, and needs to have an overhaul. Slightly OT, but channel 9 continuing to cut the cricket short to go the news is bloody awful. Given that we proclaim ourselves as the most passionate sporting country on the planet, perhaps our TV channels start coming up with better ways of showing sport.

If only that were the only problem.

I the lack of FTA coverage of the Australian Cricket Team playing a test match in India is a blight on our networks and our country as a whole.

It seems as though they know can give us crap coverage, make us pay for Foxtel to be able to watch a game etc. etc. because they know the passion will always be there from the sports loving public, making for tobacco/alcohol/petrol-like inelastic demand. Even though I have Foxtel, I still think that the sports loving Australian public get more screwed with each new sports-media deal that is done, and I think some boycotting is long overdue.

The sooner that program is scrapped the happier Ill be. Makes you not want to play Friday night games as they are usually 3+ hours behind.

Worse than West Aussie! :D;)
