if ever there was a reason to HATE the west coast eagles ive got one for you ...
we talk about collingwood/essendon being an evil corp but the WCE have upped the ante

in years gone the West Australian government in an attempt to bring footy to the public and encorage sports tourism dictated that for football games at Subi oval 3000 tickets must be made available to the general public for purchase through ticketmaster and the like.. the other day CEO Trevor Nisbett admitted on local radio that in the previous years the WCE had in fact sold these public tickets to their "in the wings members" in a pre sale and only the left over tickets from that pre-sale were actually released to the general public meaning for most game tickets to the WCE game were near on impossible to grab. Now with the new stadium the government are cracking down on the WCE and the 6000 tickets allocated to the general public are not allowed to be manipulated in the way they have in the past ... problem fixed right .... wrong ... the WCE being the ruthless money hungry bastards they are found a loop hole , the ticket sales for the first 11 rounds at the new stadium opened last week but you would have never known this as the AFL site and all advertising said it wasnt open as yet... the WCE convenietly forgot to advertise the fact that the tickets were open to the general public but ironically sent an email to their "in the wings" members the day it opened basically giving them first bite of the ticket cherry ...
on top of this the WCE one of the richest clubs in the land ever so delightfully set the ticketing cost at an astronomical $55 per ticket .. funny enough their cross town rivals are selling their tickets at $39 ..

good old WCE putting the game further and further out of the reach of the general public ..

Heinous club

bloody hell, the equivalent GA seats that you could get at subi in the right pocket are $77.
Also found a restricted view ticket for $88.
so much for the stadium for the people ... WCE ripping off the WA people putting footy tickets out of the reach of many .. imagine taking your family to the footy near on $200 before you factor in food and drinks.. ironically i hear the ANZAC day clash at the G has $25 tickets so almost a quarter of the cost of a WCE vs Brisbane game at optus oval

I bought tickets at the stadium for the round 3 match against gold coast for $35

they would be restriced view concession tickets ... just looking on ticketmaster then that game has level one tickets at $66 for an adult ... the same tickets you got for $35 is $44 for an adult and are considered the worst seats in the venue ...
its a total rort thanksfully the Freo Dockers are more fan friendly and at least make it somewhat affordable but my fear is once this season is over the dockers will see what the eagles can get away with charging and they will push their prices up to match ...

Are we at any risk of selling out the west coast game. Invested in the flights already so be pretty funny to miss out on tickets to the game.

When do we contact the club to go into the ballot for both games?

Round 8 bookings open at 9am Monday 9 April, 2018.

Round 11 bookings open 9am Monday 30 April, 2018.
as a WA member you get a complimentary ticket to one of the two games and the option to purchase a tickets to the second game .. given the current pricing your best bet is to nominate the WCE game as your comp tickets and purchase for the Dockers game ... the down side is you can only purchase a ticket for a member so if you want to take a non member with you you have to buy through ticketmaster

too right, Im not too keen on those prices and I cant see many that would be. Plus looks like a lot of the GA tickets are scattered around due to all the restricted view debacles with their memberships. Would never want to sit in the middle of eagle fans.

unfortunately the saints/freo game is the same night as the Imagine Dragons concert at perth arena and I already have tickets to that.
