Other Teams
Subiaco
Subiaco v Swan Dist at Leederville Fri, April 8, 6.30pm
Peel v West Perth at Rushton Park, Sat April 9, 1.00pm
Perth v South Frem at EFTel Lathlain, Sat April 9, 2.15pm
East Frem v Claremont at East Fremantle, Sun April 10, 2.15pm

Bye: East Perth

Subiaco v Swans should be a cracker of a game unfortunately it has been raining and the ground will be very soft under foot and i would expect the ball to be on the deck a bit. Expect a close game for Subiaco for once this year but if Subiaco manage to win by 10+ goals hand them the premiership already as the way East Perth are playing at the moment we wont get near them and if Swans cant i cant see anyone else getting near them either.

Expect Claremont, South Fremantle and West Perth to win increasing the gap between the top teams and bottom teams.

Yep wellsy its raining heavilly which is a great shame.

A lot of the big WAFL games have been affected by rain this year.

Unfortunately this is going to be another one.

All 4 rounds have had matches affected.

Meanwhile in SA they are having to enforce the heat management policy in SANFL games.

WA football crowds are notorious for staying away when it rains.

Its always been that way even when I was a kid in the early 70's.

I dont know why. Maybe they are spoilt with some much good weather.

Yep i go to all games no matter rain hail or shine! There has been some classic moments sitting in areas where there is no cover and you are getting saturated!

Anyways Troy Wilson has retired from football due to his bodies inability to recover after games and constant knee soreness and hamstring tendonitis.

Hmmm

You seriously don't know why? Most grounds (with the exception of Fremantle Oval) are predominantly grass banks with no cover. Rain makes them slippery and boggy. Who wants to watch football in that?

Swan Districts: Wulf 3 Cornelius 2 Roberts 1 De Corsey 1 McDonald 1 Griffin 1

Hmmm they won by more then 10 goals against a pretty bloody good side...

Wooooo

Perth have come from behind to beat South Fremantle by 3 points. Perth behind at every change came from behind to beat South Fremantle with Michael Johnson kicking a goal from 25m out with only about 30 seconds to go. Some crucial decisions were made by the umps in the dying stages by the sounds of the commentators. Oh well South Freo lose their first game this season, hopefully Fremantle can beat West Coast tonight!

In the other game this arvo West Perth have thumped Peel Thunder by the tune of 92 points, 17.15.117 to 4.1.25. At the end of the game when they crossed to the commentator there he said Peel were back out onto the ground doing training drills 5 minutes after the final siren!

Yeah I saw it on the box. Was a very exciting game of footy. Great to see the Demons get a win. Damien Adkins and Michael Johnson were excellent. Andrew McDougall struggled.

Apparently Troy Wilson hasn't officially retired, he's just not playing for the time being because he's sick of having to take pain killers. He's going to take a while off and see how his body is later in the year. He wants to keep playing.
