Most likely a three horse race between Subi, East Perth and West Perth. I'd be putting my money on West Perth at the moment.

Would be good to belt East Perth in the Granny this year and pay them back for last years debacle.

You'd better not be right - that would mean West Perth losing two successive finals to Subiaco & East Perth. On this year's form, that's unlikely, though possible.

The top 3 have all beaten each other at various times, so it's hard to get a real form guide. I certainly wouldn't put much store on West's victory over East in the other week's monsoon or in Subi's win against West when Seaby was flattened at first bounce - we'll never play that badly again.

Hard to see 4th (probably South Fremantle, but maybe Claremont) doing anything apart from lose in Week 1, whoever the opposition - the top 3 have been clearly superior this year.

As a Final Four, the winner of 1 v 2 is usually expected to go on and win the whole thing, which this year should be Subi or West Perth, unless East Perth win both their final games and one of the others slip up big time.

As a West Perth supporter, I am of course biased, but we'll be disappointed with anything less than a flag this year. All our AFL players are qualified and we have good depth, kick a lot of goals, sound defence, star ruck and a really competitive midfield. Good mix of experience and youth. An excellent coach who has the confidence of the players. And the burning, yearning thirst for revenge for last year.
