Apologies all, been hard pressed for time this week. We need to do something about a little thing called work. One powerball........

Let's get stuck right into this crucial round, with the top 4 still undecided and movements within the 4 still available.

Claremont v Perth - If Perth win they can climb to 5th and give themselves some impetus for next year, although I'm not sure this is important because the word is something like 10-15 players won't be returning to Lathlain next year. Still, a good effort by Jarman in his first year. The Tigers will continue to develop their youth and get themselves into a strong position for next year. On the lists are players playing for AFL careers/further contracts, like B Jones, Stevenson, Bedford.
On another note, think this will be Cook's final game? so get along and support this champion of the club.:thumbsu:
These 2 teams are ranked 1 and 2 in the colts at present, so that is another vital game being played out today.

Peel v East Freo - another really disappointing year for both teams, especially as they both started the season very well. Don't know if more depth is required, certainly in Peel's case, but EF have been hampered by AFL call ups, which they should be pleased about because most are playing AFL at present. The colts are not that impressive for EF but Peel's are in the 4 at present, so there is some depth to come from there for them. I suspect S Rosa may be playing his last game for Peel. Not much left to play for in this one, but some pride. One of the teams will want to finish off better, just not sure which one.

Swans v Sowfs - all around a very interesting day at Basso. Firstly the colts are vying for top 4, with Swans currently 4th and Souths 5th, with a game and a little percentage between them. Souths can't be knocked off top spot, but if Subi lose and Swans win by a large enough margin, probably 40-50 points plus, Swans can leapfrog to second spot. No home final, but a double chance, is it worth it? Obviously loads of talent on display in this game, with Dell'olio, Jetta, Hams x 2, Notte, Wilson, Adams, Garlett, Pratt, Walters on display. Coupled with the mature Bell, Gilmore, Graham, White, Miller, Roberts, Geappen, Twomey, Spaanders, Hansen, this should be a cracking game. Tipping Swans, just....

West Perth v Subi - essentially the season comes down to this one game. Subi win and it's all over for WP and EP live to fight another day. WP win and EP are out, so how sweet does this game become for WP, firstly being able to beat their modern day rivals and secondly, being able to put their bitter, traditional foe out to pasture for the year. Surely, WP can't need much more motivation than this?
All the motivations aside there is some serious talent in this shootout, Seaby, Keunen, LeCras, Salecic, Tsalikis, Strijk, Guadagnin, James on one hand and Stenglein, Bristow, Keevers, Cossom, Hildebrandt, Hyphen, Broadhurst, Rix on the other. Both teams look evenly matched, with their forward lines being their stronger line and both up against susceptible defences. Should also be a cracker, but due to late season form I'm leaning towards the Lions.

Should be a fine weekend and if it's your clubs last game for the season, get out, support and enjoy it. :thumbsu::)

the word is something like 10-15 players won't be returning to Lathlain next year

..although nothing surprises me with Perth, I think this may be a little off the mark. Where did you hear this?

Jarman was recently quoted as saying he was confident the player group would stay together and would top up the list with 2-3 recruits

And i heard that Robinson,Geappen, and Twomey have had enough of Swans and are coming to the Dee's how about revealing your source instead of posting absolute ******* crap.

Spot on Satan so where do you get the inclination to write something like this Swannies? Ross Young has just signed on for another year and Brendon Jones will do the same and Troy Cook is seriously considering playing on another year. That is a vote of confidence in Andrew Jarman and the squad by the senior players. What's your agenda with that sort of comment, can you back it up? Source?? No doubt, as Jarman has stated already there will be another clean out at the end of the year to make way for a few more recruits to further bolster out stocks and the word is Mark Coughlan is keen to come back to Perth. That's a bloody good start and there might be 2 or 3 North Adelaide players who's contracts have expired that might trek West to join Jars! That's the word I am hearing. ;)

Why you getting so worked up?. Came from a Perth supporter who works with one of your long term injured players, from this year, so yes I have a source.
As to my agenda, there is none. I would like nothing more than Perth to be involved in a finals series because then we would see a huge, dormant following of the red and black come out of the woodwork, which would be fantastic for the WAFL imo.
So it's all good.:thumbsu::)

Swannies I wouldn't mind if you said you heard there will be a few players leaving but to say 10 - 15 is outrageous and suggests players are not happy there. There are 2 I would piss off straight away without thinking about it and our reserves are appalling so no doubt there will be a fair few of them moved on once the end of next pre season has come but that happens at most clubs I would have thought as last years colts players come through.

My point being to the contrary at the top end there has been nothing but good news from the club, ie - Ross Young re signed for next year, Jones to follow and Cooky seriously considering playing on if the club can recruit a few more players to cover some deficiencies.

That was the number quoted by the player, but I will stand corrected. They only quoted a few names though, so I couldn't tell you who.

TBH the source wasn't strong Satan but you would expect him to be able to pull a few from NA. The word on Coughlan coming home is pretty strong though. Heard that from a Perth supporter who's mate knows his family. ;)

I don't know the names but I think it's pretty true, rnb. They would have come over this year, except for their contracts, evidently. I hope it all pans out well for you guys over the off season.
