G'day.

What are the finals systems for these two leagues. I had a snoop on the WAFL website, and all I know is There are two semi finals, one prelim then the Grand final, but what is the actual system with the top 4?

Same for the SANFL as well, thanks in advance.

Cheers.

SANFL - has the final five

1st week Elimination 4 v 5 and Qualifying final 2 v 3 - minor premier gets a rest

2nd week 1st semi - winner of elimination takes on the loser of the Qualifying and
2nd semi - the winner of the qualifying takes on the minor premier.

3rd week preliminary winner of 1st semi v loser of the 2nd semi
winner of 2nd semi has a rest

4th week the Grand Final winner of prelim. v winner of 2nd semi.

Probably much more information than you wanted:)

Final 4

Week 1

First Semi 3 v 4 (loser eliminated)
Second Semi 1 v 2 (winner goes into grand final)

Week 2

Prelim Final
Winner First Semi v Loser Second Semi

Week 3
Grand Final
Winner First Semi v Winner Prelim

Docker_Brat - cheers for that.

Although there is only one game a week, the second semi final isn't until week 2, and the grand final is week 4.
