Howdy fellas.

For the past year or so I've been doing my best to build up a database of WAFL match stats, such as qtr by qtr scores and goalkickers (points kickers is a bit harder, but the West started documenting these for most games in about 1936 or so). I've got all match scores entered, and have all goalkickers for the 1930s entered (as well as 1972 and 79-84). It's a daunting task... one that I'm enjoying, but there's holes in data needed.

Thanks to a few photocopies lists, or available PDFs, I've got full player names for the following clubs:

East Perth
Perth
Claremont
South Freo
Swan Districts
Peel

But I'm missing East Freo, West Perth and Subiaco. It's all well-and-good me going into my database and saying that in Rd 5, 1940, 'Pola' kicked 3.1 for West Perth in their 1-point victory over Claremont, but would love his first name as well.

Anyone have this data around the place that you wouldn't mind me using?

Cheers in advance.

I've got most of that, UFG. The full names of the WP players are in the back of the 2007 club history. I think the same applied to EF. Just out of interest, Pola is Jack Pola. Believe it or not, he's still alive and living in Mt Hawthorn. Must be the oldest living WAFL player. He was in the WP league team in 1934 & 1935 (when WP won back-to-back flags). Didnt play in either premiership as he was a bit young (born in 1914). But he was captain for the next premiership.

Mate, I have seen your work on the AFL Footy Stats thread....excellent work, about time the WAFL got a bit more airplay.

Anyway have been meaning for some time to say good work and keep it up, it's very much appreciated:thumbsu:

seems there is a few dedicated wafl stats/video fans amongst us out there. I too have been doing similar.

I starting my database using excel but got my hands on an excellent program Sorenson footy works and have entered all wafl scores from 1898 in it. I am currently going back entering all qtr br qtr scores. I have done it from a Swan Dist point of view and have all swans players and goal scorers and been spending spare time putting the data into Footy Works. Wherever additional stats such as kicks handballs etc are available i have entered those too.

Would be happy to share if means I can get access to qtr by qtr scores from 1915 - 1934 and from 1950-1968 easier than going through the west/sunday times online
