Thought both had reasonable games but really both had some pretty bad stuff ups. Waite complaining to the umpire really didnt help his cause nor did his 2 easy shots on goal he missed.

Henderson dropped maybe 4-5 marks which he should of taken most infront of the goal square. Not only that he needs to increase his tank and general speed.

His speed is not up to scratch and his ability to put pressure on the backman without giving up is just not good enough. He needs to improve and I hope being young he is able to do that but at the same time am not 100%

Way to be overly critical. Every player makes critical mistakes, even Judd should have snagged a couple of goals tonight yet as usual there is no criticism of me.

And yes Hendo did dropo a couple he should have taken but heck, he is getting to those contests and has had a great year for a 20 year old key forward. He is only going to get better and to criticise him, his effort and tank is just plain wrong.

[The Real Deal]

Waite was disappointing when we needed a leader. Gave away a couple of free kicks for head high contact (albeit soft) and then when he copped one played for the free kick but it never came. If he'd kept going we wouldn't have turned the ball over!
The other was the shot running into the open goal in the last 1/4 to put us up 13 or 14. Really tried to bang it through and ended up slamming it into the post. A little more composure would have been nice.

Actually his speed is first rate, but he needs the tank to back it up. He also needs the strength to keep his position against top defenders. Another preseason, and he might be there.

agreed ... good speed for a guy his size ... burnt Deledio and Scarlett for speed a few weeks ago

he'll come good ... we weren't going to win the flag so the hurt will help motivate the kid and should lead to a big pre-season

saw him in the departure lounge at the airport after the game ... was taking it pretty hard ... that's a good sign
